Victor Esparza

Victor Esparza serves as Allegiance Refining’s Director of Refining Operations, responsible for refining and terminal operations, logistics, and projects.

Mr. Esparza has 33 years of experience serving in multiple management roles in the refining industry. He began his career in 1991 as an operator with Southwestern Refining in Corpus Christi, which later became Flint Hills Resources, and subsequently moved into a Product Specialist role where he oversaw production in the crude and hydrotreater complexes from 1995 until 2006. Mr. Esparza then spent the next 11 years in management positions of increased responsibility for previous owners of The San Antonio Refinery. From 2006 to 2011, he held the positions of Shift Supervisor, Acting Operations Manager, and I&E Manager for AGE Refining, Inc. From 2011 to 2013, Mr. Esparza served as Logistics Supervisor and later as Logistics and Scheduling Manager for NuStar Energy L.P. He then held several senior positions from 2013 to 2017 with Calumet Specialty Products Partners, L.P., starting with Terminal & Pipeline Manager and later progressing to Solvents Manager, Logistics Manager, and Assistant Operations Manager. Prior to joining Allegiance Refining in July 2021 as a Special Projects Manager and later promoted to Director of Operations, Mr. Esparza spent more than four years with Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. at its Corpus Christi crude oil terminal, where he started as a Senior Operator and was ultimately promoted to Facility Supervisor Compliance & Quality.

Mr. Esparza studied business management at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi and holds several operations certifications.
