Robert Esquivel serves as the company’s Refinery Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager, responsible for leading all HSE programs to support safe, compliant, and reliable operations.

 

Mr. Esquivel has 30 years of HSE experience, gained from his service in the United States Air Force and positions within the biomanufacturing, pharmaceutical, and automotive industries. He began his career in the Air Force in 1995, where he held several roles in bioenvironmental engineering that encompassed industrial hygiene, radiation safety, environmental compliance, and global emergency planning.

 

Following his military service, Mr. Esquivel joined Maclellan Integrated Services as its Regional Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) manager. During his nine-year career at Maclellan, he oversaw EHS programs across 66 sites, which included collaborations with clients such as Toyota, Rivian, Mercedes, Chrysler, and Volvo. Mr. Esquivel then moved on to Nestlé USA as its Safety, Health, and Environmental Manager, where he helped the company achieve a zero-injury record. Prior to joining Allegiance Refining in June 2025, he was the EHS Manager at Scorpius Biomanufacturing.

 

Mr. Esquivel earned a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety and Health from Columbia University and an Associate of Science in Bioenvironmental Engineering Technology from the Community College of the Air Force. He also holds an Associate Safety Professional certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
