Carlos Pena serves as our Operations Manager and is responsible for daily operations and training at The San Antonio Refinery.

 

Mr. Pena brings a wealth of oil and gas experience to the company, having held several operations roles throughout his 33-year career. He spent 28 years with Flint Hills Resources in Corpus Christi, developing operations, training, and leadership skills in positions such as turnaround system manager, gasoline blender and LPG scheduler, shift leader, control room operator, and process coordinator. Before joining Allegiance Refining in May 2023 as a refinery training specialist, Mr. Pena spent nearly four years with ATS Industrial, Inc. in Corpus Christi, where he focused on establishing safety and training programs while serving as a safety director and project manager.

 

Mr. Pena was also a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and held several roles related to electrical power production during his nine years of service, including power plant technician, generator maintenance, and electrical communications support.
