Martin Medina

Martin Medina serves as the company’s Director of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE), responsible for leading all HSE programs to support safe, compliant, and reliable operations.
Mr. Medina has nearly 30 years of experience leading and revitalizing HSE programs in the oil and gas industry. He spent the majority of his career with Shell, holding positions of increasing responsibility for more than 22 years. He began as a Senior Environmental Engineer and Utilities Supervisor at the Shell Los Angeles refinery. Mr. Medina later assumed the role of Global Environmental Manager for Shell’s Projects and Technology division, where he focused on reducing hazardous waste risk and liabilities and earned a company award for these efforts.
Mr. Medina then joined Shell Exploration and Production Co. as the U.S. Environmental and Regulatory Team Lead for the company’s unconventional, full-field development projects in Colorado, Louisiana, Texas, and Wyoming. He later transitioned into the Exploration HSE Manager role, overseeing greenfield exploration projects in Colorado, Texas, Argentina, Colombia, Ukraine, and the United Arab Emirates. Mr. Medina also served as the North America HSE Area Manager for Repsol Services Company in Austin and as Corporate Environmental Manager for the U.S. Refining and Petrochemicals Division for TotalEnergies in Houston, the last position he held prior to joining Allegiance Refining.
Mr. Medina holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas and a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Colorado.
