Joe Castillo serves as our Turnaround and Electrical Manager responsible for leading all aspects of turnaround activities and electrical system reliability improvement opportunities.

 

Mr. Castillo has been with Allegiance Refining January 2021 and has 28 years of I&E experience. Prior to joining the company, he served as an I&E analyst and supervisor for precedessor owner and operators of The San Antonio Refinery from 2014 to 2021. The majority of his career was spent in various I&E technician and engineering roles of increasing responsibility where he focused on developing solutions and improving the reliability of equipment systems for companies such as Tornado Automation, Douglas Machine Inc., Oberthur Gaming Technologies, Texas Management Associates, Motorola, and Sony Semiconductor. Mr. Castillo also served in the U.S. Navy Reserve from 1991 to 1999.

 

He received his Associate in Applied Science in Industrial Electronics and Associate of Arts from San Antonio College and is working toward the completion of a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from St. Mary’s University.
